sort alphanumerically addresses

I'm having an alphanumeric sorting issue. Other solutions I have looked at will add a column to resolve the issue but this does not solve for alpha only rows. The link below shows the data as imported into google sheets not excel. I need the data sorted by column A 1, 1a, 2, 2b,..., a to z. These are documents several people have to print which requires formatting to be locked. I cannot allow others to hide or remove columns to prepare for printing, but I need to allow others to insert new rows and resort. Thanks in advance for the support.

Excel Facts

How to total the visible cells?
From the first blank cell below a filtered data set, press Alt+=. Instead of SUM, you will get SUBTOTAL(9,)
Maybe run a Macro that sorts the data as required through a master copy and then only publish the values copy?
