I have a long list of days (Monday-Sunday) I need to sort this list with the current day on top.
example: today is Wednesday short the list will show Wednesday on top followed by Thursday, Friday, Saturday and so on with Tuesday on the bottom.

Excel Facts

Last used cell?
Press Ctrl+End to move to what Excel thinks is the last used cell.
Use dates instead of days and sort descending. If that's not an option you can build a custom list and sort using that. The catch is you should write a macro that changes the custom list list based on date. Or use a similar macro to sort your list automatically. If you were using a pivot table you could get away without a macro / custom list with a date / day indexes in Power Pivot.

Or use a formula that sorts the weekday-function to sort your dates / days: You can change the weekday order with the optional parameter.

I added =TODAY() in A1 and custom formatted the cell to DDDD. My list of days are manually entered . I tried to do an IF formula =IF(A1=K7,1,99). This comes out as fause.

I found this formula that will translate the =TODAY() formula to text.
=TEXT(B1,"dddd")
my IF code now works
