Some of my posts are being "moderated" some are not. Why?

Hi,

I'm new to this forum. I've made four posts to two threads. My first post in each thread appeared immediately. My second post in each thread was 'submitted for moderator approval' (or some such wording) and appeared some hours later. I can understand if, as a new user, ALL my posts are moderated until I hit some post count or the mods decide I'm not a spammer, but this sometimes-yes, sometimes-no post moderation has me confused. Can someone explain?

Thxs.

There is a built-in algorithm with the Board software that determines which posts from a new user to Moderate or not. Since we do not have access to the underlying algorithm, we cannot say with certainty why some post are Moderated and others are not. However, things like links and images certainly increase the odds of them being Moderated.

Thanks. Since I've not posted images or links, I suppose post length would be it in my case since the moderated posts were both longer.
