Some links want open from Excel 2003

I have a Excel 2003 spreadsheet with many links to various Facebook sites. I have just started posting on another Facebook site but Excel will not open any of the links from that site. All links to other pages work fine. I also tried them in Word and get the same thing.

When clicking on the link, I get "Unable to open https:// facebook.com/.... The Internet site reports that the item you requested could not be found. (HTTP/1.0 404).

I am using Google chrome as my browser, I can copy the link and paste it in the browser and the links open fine.

Thanks, the article sound like it is if no hyperlinks are working and this is only for links to that one Face Book page, I have links to 4 different FB pages in the sheet and all of them work fine. It does not mention Excel 2003, it may not be supported anymore, I do not want to take a chance with registry editing when all the other ones are working, just seeing if anybody else have had this problem and found what was causing it
