Hi all.
My question is this :
I have a list of products in an excel file

What i want to do is to create a powerpoint presenation, so a user enters the product number in a textbox and all other textboxes on the slide fetch the related info from the excel.

Ex:
In excel i have

ProdId:
1

Desc:
Product no1

Price:
10$

etc.

So in powerpoint i want when user enters 1 in the product number textbox
it's desc and price appear automatically.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Excel Facts

Ambidextrous Undo
Undo last command with Ctrl+Z or Alt+Backspace. If you use the Undo icon in the QAT, open the drop-down arrow to undo up to 100 steps.
Why would you do this with PowerPoint instead of right in Excel?

Sorry that it took so long to reply(I was away for the weekend)

As for your question:
It's because i have another powerpoint presentation and all i want to do is to insert the slide with the product in that presentation. And although it not that hard to insert an excel file, it is for the people who will use it. and they specifically said that they dont want to have excel as a solution. :x so i have my hands all tied up.

Anyhow, any help what so ever as to how do i do ( or what other forums can i go to to ask [More specialized in powerpoint ] ) it would be great.

Copy Excel To PowerPoint

A simple tool that copies Excel to PowerPoint is available at xpport.com. It does append slides to existing ppt files. Let me know how it goes.

That's a nice tool. Although it is not exactly what i want, it can still help me in other projects. The bad thing is that it does not make a slide more interactive, which is my main goal. Any how i think i managed to convince them to use Excel instead, so now im OK. I know exactly what to do. Thanks anyway for your replies, they help me alot. And keep up the good work.
