Hello!

I need to create an Excel spreadsheet on Google Docs, in order to be used by a Facebook group. Giving the large number of its members (> 100.000), I want the posted data to automatically be secured, so that once an input being operated the information can’t be modified by the next member who is to complete a new row. My question is whether is it any solution in this sense (formula, macro) to be used within the excel online sheet, in order to protect data as I need.

Thank you!

Vladimir A.

Excel Facts

Control Word Wrap
Press Alt+Enter to move to a new row in a cell. Lets you control where the words wrap.
Google Docs will show a Google-based copy, not the actual Excel file. Many Excel-based features are unavailable, so you won't be able to use things like macros

That said, there is no way even in Excel that you can secure your data from a skilled user. You can put as much VBA, VBA passwords, worksheet protection etc. as you want in your file, I can find and change/delete your data as much as I want. If it is imperative that your data is secured then Excel is not the answer you are looking for, sorry
