Hi
I want to put a solar module on my roof and I already know how much it will make per month or per year, but I'd like to work out mathematically how much it would make per day, on any given day I choose at a particular time of day!
What I require is probably three or four formulas but I cannot work them out.
How high the sun is in the sky at a given local time, on any particular day. (Seasons are important.)
THis should produce a solar irradiance in Wh/m2.
It should also take into consideration the fact that the sun is closer to the earth in winter than in summer.
How much sunlight falls on the solar module taking into consideration its fixed pitch (30 degrees, 45 deg, 60 deg) and fixed orientation (S, SE, East, West etc).
Some kind of estimate of how weather affects it over the year for the given location (I want that to be simple).
Perhaps someone has the knowledge to answer me what I need to do to get this into an excel spreadsheet
