Snapshot moving when scolling down

Hi,

I am dealing with a spreadsheet (Excel 2003) with a lot of assumptions and which has ended up being quite a long one in terms of rows. However, the output of all those assumptions is in the firts few rows of the sheet and it is difficult to follow the overall effect when you change your assumptions.

What I want to do is take a snapshot with the camera function and paste it in a way that when you scroll down to change one of your assumptions, the snapshot always stays visible on the right part of the assumptions' columns (the assumptions are not occupying more than 10 columns, but as I mentioned above they do occupy a lot of rows).

Has anyone done something similar?

Many thanks!

How to calculate loan payments in Excel?
Use the PMT function: =PMT(5%/12,60,-25000) is for a $25,000 loan, 5% annual interest, 60 month loan.
What if you just 'freeze' the top few rows?

Select a cell in the row below the last one you need to freeze, then choose window -> freeze panes

Hi Weaver,

Thanks for that. I went for a similar solution, I just split the screen, so that the upper part stays on the first few rows and I just scroll in the lower one.

Cheers!
