What happens when I'm bored at work and find new things? I sit at my desk and giggle waaaay too much.

The current point in case being this: Serpentes on a Shippe, aka 'Snakes on a Plane' as described by Geoffrey Chaucer.

For the record, this link does have spoilers for 'Snakes on a Plane.' If one can really call anything in regard to a movie that formulaic a "spoiler" (and can manage to read the Middle English text there) :)

So...anyone else seen the movie? Or am I going to be the only one here to admit to it? ;)

Excel Facts

How can you turn a range sideways?
Copy the range. Select a blank cell. Right-click, Paste Special, then choose Transpose.
I know a guy that knows a guy that went to the movie that was playing beside snakes on a plane.

Sorry VP, I think you are on your own!

Awww. Come *on* people. It's bad on purpose, which, of course, equals predictable and campy and FUN! ...ok, at least for people like me and my husband. Heck, he started the cheer in the theater when Samuel Jackson delivered what shall be henceforth known as The Line.

Of course, I do still love (and watch) Mystery Science Theater (link is for those who have no idea what I'm talking about), so I'm 'versed' in b-movies, if you will.

Speaking of bad movies: anyone else seen a little Canadian movie called 'Jesus Christ Vampire Hunter' or will it be just me again on that one, too? (Frankly, on that one I would be *extremely* surprised if anyone else has even heard of it--we found it by accident ourselves).

...Yes, my husband and I are a little 'quirky' to a lot of people. I can admit this. ;)

A couple friends of mine saw it, they actually loved it. They said, "it has no plot, no character development, just a fun action movie." I'll see it, but probably not in theatres (can't make it to town for a few weeks), just because I'm a movie freak. 8-)

According to the latest numbers I saw, SOAP just barely managed to beat out Talladega Nights for weekend box office bragging rights -- $15.2M to $13.7M and the latest dailies (Wed, Aug 23rd) have Talladega back on top $1.26M to $1.17M. So much for internet buzz being worth a plug nickel at the box office...

That I just don't understand whatsoever. Not so much the whole 'internet buzz' thing, but the fact that Wil Ferrel movies--so far--haven't been that great, in my opinion.

But, what is funny to some, is not funny to others. Case in point: I have absolutely no idea why everyone seems to love 'Anchorman.' I *hated* that movie. Blech. And now he does a movie with Nascar <s>as a plot point</s> [Edit]plot point? Talk about using the wrong phrase. What I should have said was 'Nascar as the only selling point.'[/Edit] Ew. No, no desire to see that movie whatsoever, mainly because I could care less about Nascar and the humor it supposedly could provide.

Blechblechptooeyyuck.

I'm actually with you there! I think there is only one Wil Ferrel movie that I've actually enjoyed, a movie that I expected to dislike and it turned out to be pleasant surprise, The Producers, Wil as the gay german screen writer was pretty good!

Close to life for him I guess!:-)

Re snakes on a plane

Being an accountant, Í get my fill of adders every day without having to pay to see some more.

Cheers
