I use SHIFT-click to open a new window from a link. This lets me open e.g 5 topics rapidly, and in the background.

This is supposed to exactly imitiate the sequence "right click, New Window" on a link (try it yourself on any site's links, even for MOST of the links here at MrExcel). However, using shift click on the Excel topic list, the new version opens the link both in the current window and in a new window (rather than just in the New window). Right click, New Window works okay in the new version.

Perhaps this only occurs in the "Excel questions" list of questions. Well, Questions About This Board does it too.

I know you guys have put a lot of hard work into this and we're all in your debt, so I hope you don't look at this a whine. Lowball its priority if you like :) But it really does seem nonstandard; I don't know any sites where shift-click works that way.
