Slicers in 2013

In Excel 2010 the pivottable field list included "slicers vertical" and "slicers horizontal". Has that been removed in 2013?

From the first blank cell below a filtered data set, press Alt+=. Instead of SUM, you will get SUBTOTAL(9,)
Microsoft did their best to make the user interface worse in 2013, and they did an excellent job of it. :(

Best is to right click the field in the pivot table field list, and select "Insert Slicer". There is also a way to insert them off some toolbar item, but it's uglier.

You will also find adding measures sucks more...
