Slicers and related dashboard not working with one who doesnt have power pivot addin

Hi,

Kindly hlep me to understand why Power Pivot slicers and charts not working when i sent my XL to my boss who hasn't installed power pivot addin. However he has Excel 2010 where normal slicers of standard pivot table works

Is it must for a person to have power pivot addin installed with him to see dashboards prepared with help of power pivot?

Is there any solution for this. Kindly guide at your earliest possible
