I am trying to use Slicers as an interactive menu in one of worksheets but not as a pivot table for anything

I have set up a table called Jazz with 4 items
Access
Surgery
Corporate
Medicine

I then created a slicer from this
What I am trying to do is extract the resulting choice to cell A1 so I reference this and link to the different worksheets eg Access, Surgery etc...At the moment the slicer will show the narrative value but filters to different row reference address
Hope this makes sense as I am just trying to use as an interactive menu rather than use slicer for pivot or any analysis.

regards
