Slicer Updates via reference cell

Hi All,

Can someone assist in helping me understand how to update a slicer (Week, Month, Quarter) based on a cell reference? I have seen several explanations of how to possibly do this, but so far it is not working for me.

Thnx for your help.
 

Excel Facts

Whats the difference between CONCAT and CONCATENATE?
The newer CONCAT function can reference a range of cells. =CONCATENATE(A1,A2,A3,A4,A5) becomes =CONCAT(A1:A5)
