slicer linked with not more than 3 pivot table

I want to know is it possible that slicer can be linked up with more than 3 pivot tables. i have tried with 4 tables but could not succeed. please help me in this regards.

As long as they use the same data source, you can link a slicer to a lot more than 3 pivot tables.

I don't see how that would assist you. What exactly happens when you try to link one to more than 3 pivot tables, and are those pivot tables all using the same source data?
