I have a slicer based on a Pivot table where a number of the rows in the table are empty for a specific field/column.

The resulting slicer for the column is showing as follows

I don't want the (blank) option to be visible and I understood that by using the Slicer Setting, I can hide the (blank) option

When I uncheck the Hide items with no data and then the two sub options, I expected the option to be removed from the slicer, but when I do this as follows and then click OK

The (blank) option is still visible in the slicer AND the Slicer settings show as follows when I go back into the Slicer settings

I now there is a way to do this as I have done this before but it seems something has changed and to do this, I need to do something else.

TIA

What does custom number format of ;;; mean?
Three semi-colons will hide the value in the cell. Although most people use white font instead.
