I created a table to help track my tasks. the table is in its own sheet. I want to build a dashboard that goes over statuses such as how many pending, completed, overdue task etc. I used "=Table_name" to copy the table to the sheet I want to create the dash board. The goal here is to be able to use slicers to filter and show the different statuses. The issue i'm having is that the slicers only work for the original table and not the "=table_name" (table on dashboard sheet). is there a way to get the slicers to control the copied table on the dashboard? I've already tried to report connections but that didn't work
This is the copied table using "=table_name" notice how the slicer is et to show overdue status but all entries are shown. How can i go about this? is there another way to reference the original table to update dynamically?
