Hello Board, I have a question....is it possible to skip a group of cells when using the tab key on the keyboard? I have a spreadsheet that when I enter data, I have about 9 columns I skip over. I use the tab button on my key board when entering the data, is there a way to customize the tab key...i.e. if I hit the tab key after column C it automatically goes to column M....Thanks!

Excel Facts

What is the last column in Excel?
Excel columns run from A to Z, AA to AZ, AAA to XFD. The last column is XFD.
Sure, select all of your data Entry cells, then choose Format->Cells->Protection, and uncheck the Locked property.

After closing the dialog, select Tools->Protection->Protect Sheet... add a password if you like, but it isn't necessary. hit Okay.

Now you will only tab to the cells that are unlocked.

Select the cells you want to enter data in and then Choose Format>Cells>Protection tab and unlock them. Next protect your worksheet. Now the TAB key will navigate only between the unlocked cells. Note, however, the order may not be what you desire.

Can someone post a tutorial video? After I choose protect sheet, the Tab button is locked.
