This subject could go on for days. In a nutshell, Access has a theoretical 2 Gig limit although you will more than likely see problems well before this limit; many have complained about corruption issues around 100 megs, although I've read of cases where db's are well over a gig and run fine (never owned one personally, though). I have found that concurrency (number of simultaneous users) will pose more of a threat to your db than size. Are you asking for your own edification or are you working on a project? If it's the latter, give some details on the db that you'll be building.
