Simple SUMIF query,

Hi

i want to count the number of quanities that dont have a paint colour, but it keeps picking up the sub totals that i have in the range,

eg.

Did you require an overall total?.....

A formula like this would work:

=SUMPRODUCT((C2:C10="Black")*B2:B10+(C2:C10="Blue")*B2:B10+(C2:C10="Red")*B2:B10+(C2:C10="Orange")*B2:B10+(C2:C10="Yellow")*B2:B10+(C2:C10="")*B2:B10*(A2:A10=""))

Note: this only cuts out the subtotals if the subtotal is matched with data in column A (i noticed that the subtotal had a date next to it each time. That is the only way we can tell it is a subtotal vs paint.)

Do you want a count or sum?

Based on the posted sample data what result do you expect? 2 (a count) or 4 (a sum)?
