HI we have some large rows of industry services and users. Basically the data is either 'Has Access' or 'No Access' and we pass this back and forth with the director
as she decides and changes etc.

I thought it may be helpful to have a colour a light yellow for each of the 'Has Access' since the default in the app is no access. Colour has to point out only where we should look.
THen I am entering this into the app.

What would be the way to do this please?

The macro would say,
If cell = 'Has Access' then background = light yellow.

Excel Facts

Enter current date or time
Ctrl+: enters current time. Ctrl+; enters current date. Use Ctrl+: Ctrl+; Enter for current date & time.
You can do that with Conditional Formatting.
Select the column you want Home Tab > Conditional Formatting > Highlight cells > Equal to > Has Access > select the format > OK

Conditional formatting would solve your problem, there is optional called "Equal To" under (Highlight Cell rules).
