Show Items With No Data Not Working the Same Since Nov 2022?

I have a spreadsheet that I haven't refreshed since the middle of November 2022.
When I refresh the data today, the chart shows every month instead of only the filtered month!
Has something changed in excel since November 2022?

This used to work, but now doesn't, and all I did was RMB, "refresh"

I have two charts, one that shows total NEW drawings per current month and one that shows total drawings overall per current month.
I filtered the chart data for the year and the month, just changing them manually for the current month.
I just want the chart to show the days in the current month, with empty days so I know if there were any days we got no new drawings.
The weekends (Sat/Sun) will always show as empty and I want them to be there to easily see each week.
I had successfully achieved the left charts below by checking "Show items with no data" under Layout & Print for the Date.
Now it shows every date... and I don't know why.

I was able to get the data I want to show by filtering the Date for the current month, but that is more work than I had to do in the past.
I want to change this chart for each month, without any extra effort. So I can grab a snapshot and move on.

See below images. And thank you in advance for any help given!
