Is it posible to set up a formula or with VBA in which I can show how much a student has in his cumulative grades over the total? Example: If the student has got 56 points so far from the 70 points possible, the cell would show: 56/70.

Thanks for the info (and formula if possible)

What is the shortcut key for Format Selection?
Ctrl+1 (the number one) will open the Format dialog for whatever is selected.
Assuming the "points possible" are in cell A1 and "points so far" are in cell A2, try this:

=A2&"/"&A1
