should i use Environ("USERPROFILE") or Environ$("UserProfile")

Hi everyone,

hopefully sile question but I've noticed when i get hepl some times i get this "Eviron("USERPROFILE")" and sometimes "Environ$("UserProfile")"
is there a difference? why the "$" and the capitals?

just wondering if one is better

The "$" enforces that whatever is returned is a string. Using all caps vs not makes not difference. So, neither one is better or more correct. One just makes sure that it returns a string.
