Hi there,

I'v got this realy weird situation that one specific sheet in a workbook that does not respond anymore to changes in the format.

Here's a screenshot of sheet 1 in the workbook. The cell A1 contains the time 16:50:00. The cell is formatted to show time in hh.mm and this works fine.

Next a screenshot of sheet 2 in the workbook. Again A1 contains 16:50:00, the cells is formated hh:mm, but the cell actually shows a number.

Does anyone have a clue what's going on here? This behaviour is the same for any cell in sheet 2. I have tried changing formatting back and forth but I can't get any cell in sheet 2 to show time-formatted data.

The problem is that this behaviour randomly seems to appear in an application that I designed and is used extensively in our sportsclub. Once it shows up, there is no way that I can't correct it anymore. :(

Thanks in advance!

What do {} around a formula in the formula bar mean?
{Formula} means the formula was entered using Ctrl+Shift+Enter signifying an old-style array formula.
Make sure that the cell is not conditional formatted so show the other format.

I found the problem.
It happens when by accident Ctrl-t is pressed. This is used to for displaying formula's and apparently this disables showing formats for times & dates.
