Good Morning -

There are alot of different ways to share macros to other users. I am trying one technique out and running into issues.

I have an excel file with macros built into it. I want to add a custom ribbon with buttons that trigger the macros. when I change the filename of the workbook, or if I want to run those macros in a different workbook, I get errors. So I've tried saving my macros into my PERSONAL.xlsb file and sharing that to other users. I've also used the export customization to export my custom ribbon. when I go to a users computer and upload the new PERSONAL.xlsb file and import the new customization, when I click the button it asks me to verify the security of the macro (giving me an enable and disable button). When I click enable, I get the error "excel cannot have two workbooks open with the same name." I can manually run the macros from the new PERSONAL.xlsb file by using the developer tab, and I can add new buttons, linking them to the PERSONAL.xlsb file and run them just fine, but the original buttons I put on the custom ribbon do not work. How can I fix this, or is there a better way to give macros and ribbons to all of my users?

Thank you!

Links? Where??
If Excel says you have links but you can't find them, go to Formulas, Name Manager. Look for old links to dead workbooks & delete.
