Sharing an excel file

I run a small network with 3 computers.
In my shared docs is a file which all users can access.
Problem is that the other users get the following error message:-

[file name] [Path] File cannot be found, check spelling or try a different path

any suggestions please.

sounds like a networking issue, make sure they can all read from the same share, try the same with a text file / word doc etc.. to see if the problem has to do with excel...


Also make sure that the computers can see your pc / server in network neighborhood, and that file sharing and network browsing is allowed,.

Thanks but it only happens with excel files
Perhaps the issue is the Read only tick which I can clear but when I open the file again the tick returns

If it's an Excel 2007 file, try this tip
