Office 2010, Windows 10, An Excel Shared workbook being used by 12 Users stored in a shared folder on the network server.

The issue is when a user tries to save the workbook after making their changes, they get the following error message. Then they have to close the file and lose their changes.

[Excel was unable to save the workbook because there was a problem reading or applying part of the revision history. You can unshare the workbook or save to a non shared workbook format to fix the problem.]

Additional information. If the workbook owner goes to the Review tab > Share Workbook > Editing tab and looks at the list of users that currently have the file open, sometimes he will see the same user in there more than once on different dates.

Example: (Who has this workbook open now:}
Brian H - 7/30/2017 9:34 am
Brian H - 8/2/2017 8:44 am

Thank you in advance for any help on resolving this issue.
