Hey all,

Earlier my boss asked if we could come up with some sort of calendar that everyone could share. He also asked if it was something that we could do in excel. So, I'm here asking for suggestions. Basically management would need to access the calendar to enter vacations, events, other stuff that needs to be accessable to everyone in a simple easy to use way. Anyone have any ideas? Would excel be the simplest way to go about doing this?

Thanks in advance,
Hit

Do you hate GETPIVOTDATA?
Prevent GETPIVOTDATA. Select inside a PivotTable. In the Analyze tab of the ribbon, open the dropown next to Options and turn it off
Yeah, that's what I suggested since you can share calendars with each other but he seemed to think that would be a hassle for some reason.

Seems pretty easy to me.

In my office, my group has a central, shared Outlook calendar in a Public Folder where we put all of our (planned) absences, etc. Everyone has access to add something to the calendar, but they can only edit/remove their own entries. Only management or 1-2 people in the group (given access by managers) has access to edit/remove any entry.

Thanks for the help, I really appreciate. I'm not quite sure how to make a new calendar in a public folder but I'll most certainly check into. Sounds ideal. Not sure if it will matter but some of us are still using 2000.
