most of the functions should work the same on a Mac - of course some things are not available at all , only on windows versions
VLOOKUP() should be the same - I used windows and excel for many many years and then in 2018 switched to Mac OSX
Some of the short cut keys are different - so command instead of control etc - But i dont think you use them much - but it maybe I'm so used to it now
its often difficult to learn a new product, but as soon as you use it regularly, it very quickly becomes easy
I guess the problems i had was with pivot tables , connection to external SQL databases and VBA
but to be honest a lot of things right at the start were difficult
I stated with a book called something like - learn excel in 14 days - i did do a course as well , which my company sent me on
I started using spreadsheet lotus 123 and a mainframe version called CALC (DEC) , in the 80's. Then I moved on to Excel in late 80's/early 90's along with Windows 3.1
then i had quite a few books , and if i didn't understand the function in 1 book would refer to a different author
used the Library a lot and took out a lot of books on Excel
These days you have forums like this
Just remember no such thing as a silly question , just sometimes they are easier to answer
So ask away on the forum, you have updated your profile so members will know you are on a mac OSX and also the version of windows you have 365 subscription
just as a guide , it would be worth getting XL2BB to work - its used by this forum

Note: Images are difficult to see , and also requires that I input all the data myself, which is very time consuming. So avoid using images unless showing things like error messages etc

A SMALL sample spreadsheet, around 10-20 rows, would help a lot here, with all sensitive data removed, and expected results mocked up and manually entered, with a few notes of explanation.
Always manually put the expected results, that helps a lot , as then we can see if the solution we have provided helps

Finally
OR if you cannot get XL2BB to work, or have restrictions on your PC , then put the sample spreadsheet onto a share
I only tend to goto OneDrive, Dropbox or google docs , as I'm never certain of other random share sites and possible virus.
Please make sure you have a representative data sample and also that the data has been desensitised, remember this site is open to anyone with internet access to see - so any sensitive / personal data should be removed
