ok, I have a feeling this is a very easy thing, but I have never done it before, and cannot figure it out.
What I want is this:
I have a form that has a date field. What I want it to do is to put today's date in it...but also allow it be changed, (by me), and then I don't want it to be altered after that.

in other words, in the form, when i am entering the information, i want today's date to show.....but if I need to change it, (like when I have to enter the previous weekend's data), it will let me. However, once I have left the record, then this date cannot be changed.

or can you do this? I will give up the idea of locking it down, if I can get it to do this in the first place....

Excel Facts

Add Bullets to Range
Select range. Press Ctrl+1. On Number tab, choose Custom. Type Alt+7 then space then @ sign (using 7 on numeric keypad)
Nothing  . It's just a function, so if one or more parameters were needed for the function to work on, it would be included in the parentheses.
