Hi,

I have a form which users will input data through. There are some date time fields I will need the users to input data to.
The user will have two options:
1. they can click on a button which will update the field to Now()
2. they can manually enter a date time value in the field.
I only want the date time field to update that specific record.

Can anyone help with this one, I'm sure there is a very quick solution - but I cant figure! I'm using access 2000.

Thanks
Gary

Did you know Excel offers Filter by Selection?
Add the AutoFilter icon to the Quick Access Toolbar. Select a cell containing Apple, click AutoFilter, and you will get all rows with Apple
Why not rather than having a button set the default value of the field to =Now()?

Re: Set vaules in field to todays date when clicking on a bu

Good suggestion, but this may cause problems when I run queries where I want to return all records where there has been co order confirmed date (ie, outstanding orders).

How will it affect a query?

If there's a default value then I wont be able to pick up thoses orders where the order confirmed date is null?

The user can always clear the field.

[myField] = Date for a date stamp or
[myField] = now() for a date/time stamp
