set specified colum to upper case

Excel Facts

Did you know Excel offers Filter by Selection?
Add the AutoFilter icon to the Quick Access Toolbar. Select a cell containing Apple, click AutoFilter, and you will get all rows with Apple
How about
Code:
Sub ChangetoUpper()
   With Range("J1", Range("J" & Rows.Count).End(xlUp))
      .Value = Evaluate(Replace("if({1},upper(@))", "@", .Address))
   End With
End Sub

You could also use an event handler, which would change the text as it's entered. Open a copy of your workbook, right click the sheet tab on the bottom and select View Code. Paste this into the window that opens:

Code:
Private Sub Worksheet_Change(ByVal Target As Range)
Dim c As Range

    Application.EnableEvents = False
    For Each c In Target
        If c.Column = 10 Then c.Value = UCase(c.Value)
    Next c
    Application.EnableEvents = True

End Sub
Then close the editor and try it out.

You could also try a low-tech method by just pressing the Caps Lock key! :rolleyes:
