I have a tab view on my form with a subform on top (not within the tab). My tabs are dates.

I want to set the parent as the date on the tab and the child as the date on the subform on top.

Can I do this through the property sheet or do I need VBA to do it?

Instead of having different data sets for a particular date be on different tabs, it would be better to have a control to pick the date (this could be a combobox) on the mainform. You could then set LinkMasterFields and LinkChildFields for the subform control.

Note: LinkMasterFields can refer to CONTROL name(s) so it can be unbound .

Conversely, LinkChildFields do need to be field(s). Make sure any field(s) specified in LinkChildFields in ON the subform -- the Visible property can be false. If filtering for a date and there may be a time component, be sure to put a calculated field in the RecordSource to get date only.

Users will not be able to choose a date. The default will be today and the tabs will be today and the next 4 business days. How do I make my combobox equal the tab selected so that I can link master/child?
