Sequential workbook numbering

Just recently upgraded to Excel 2016. I've noticed that when I open up a new instance of Excel, the default Book# file name will be sequential compared to it using the lowest book# based on what is already open

For example when if I have no open Excel files and I open up a new instance, it will give me Book50. If I close Book50 and open up another instance it will give me Book51.

This resets back to Book1, if I reboot.

In the 2007 version, if I open up a new instance (when there is no other Excel files opened), it will give me Book1.

Is there a way to put 2016 to use the default file naming that 2007 uses?

The higher numbers are throwing me off for some reason

Thanks
