Hi there,

I have a 'feed' of data on a sheet1, which reports the time and location of when I click on some scoreboards (sheet2) to report + or - points for 4 candidates doing a test. I would also like to have individual 'feeds' below the scoreboards themselves so the examiner can see the history of the points they have given.

If I use an 'if' function, the individual feeds are full of gaps for when there are data entries for a different candidate. I also tried using filters but this was a very messy way of doing it, and also would only let me use one filter per sheet, and the scoreboards (and hence the individual feeds) all need to be on the same sheet. I want to avoid putting the feed into a 'table' too.

I feel there is an array formula that would work, where it would return the data entry from the complete 'feed' if it matched the candidates name, and if not would skip to the next data entry and so on, then I could just copy this formula down where I want the individual feeds to go. I just can't get the formula right at the minute.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks!

Excel Facts

Copy formula down without changing references
If you have =SUM(F2:F49) in F50; type Alt+' in F51 to copy =SUM(F2:F49) to F51, leaving the formula in edit mode. Change SUM to COUNT.
