Hi,

Basically i a list of customers in column A in excel, in column B i have a list of the addresses for the customers. However in column B the whole address is in this one cell separated by a ; (think there called semi colons). I want to be able to separate the lines of the addresses into difference cells/columns, i.e, c,d,e so i can do a mail merge.

example below is what i have in one cell that i require separating to multiple cells:
<TBODY>
UNIT 1;TREMLETTS BOAT YARD;ODHAMS WHARF;EBFORD

this must be easy? please help
Thanks
Nathan

</TBODY><COLGROUP><COL></COLGROUP>
Fastest way to copy a worksheet?
Hold down the Ctrl key while dragging tab for Sheet1 to the right. Excel will make a copy of the worksheet.

Welcome to the Board

Select Column B, Go to Data, Text to Columns, Delimited, Choose semi-colon as your delimiter, finish.
