Sendkeys macro

Hey guys having some trouble with a send keys macro.

I've got the method itself working for copying a cell of data, pressing alt tab and pasting it. The issue i am having is the program i am trying to copy the data in now won't work. I had only tested with notepad and word. Alt tab wont go to the program in the switch screen when the macro is running its not even available. Appactivate wont work with it either. So to get around it i just had the macro minimize excel forcing the program tobe in focus but then the pasting of the values doesnt work. Am i missing something here?

The data is just simple text. 1 cell.
