Formula for Yesterday
Name Manager, New Name. Yesterday =TODAY()-1. OK. Then, use =YESTERDAY in any cell. Tomorrow could be =TODAY()+1.

Perhaps you could give us a bit more information, like what signs to ignore and what format the numbers,text are in?
Have you tried the SMALL function?
