I want to add a database on the network for the entire company to use. However I want everyone to view the data, but I only want to allow a few people to be able to modify the data.

I have never used the security feature.

What is your experience with it? Or what do you recommend?

Thanks

Show numbers in thousands?
Use a custom number format of #,##0,K. Each comma after the final 0 will divide the displayed number by another thousand
Not sure what you're asking. If you don't want certain people to be able to modify the data, then you need to use security. You set up different groups and then assign access to each group. I highly recommend researching it first - either get a book or there should also be some good stuff on the internet. The Access Developer's Handbook (Getz, Litwin, Gilbert) has some good info.
