Security for Groups [Hide action buttons]

I have a database that is being used by several groups of users. I want to hide the action buttons [delete, add] from one of the groups. However they still need to view the form.

What is the best approach to to this?

Use the form's Open or Load event to check for the user's group. Then make the buttons visible or not depending on the group.

Use a function like the one that is listed here: http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&selm=3KUthhXCW3a9Ewq2@gkgib.demon.co.uk

So something like:
