I'm trying to convert seconds to minutes in excel 2013, tried this by a2/86400 and then formatting the cell but it is not giving me desired result, I need something like this..
cell A2 cell B2
0 1
1 1
2 1
3 1
...
58 1
59 1
60 2
...
3599 59
3600 60 minutes and then back to 1 from next number so on

Excel Facts

Round to nearest half hour?
Use =MROUND(A2,"0:30") to round to nearest half hour. Use =CEILING(A2,"0:30") to round to next half hour.
sorry, I just need minutes, if its 180 seconds I need 3 minutes , if its 240 I need 4 ....any given seconds I only need minutes

Why is everything less than 60 showing 1 and 60 showing 2? What if the seconds are not full minutes? Are you rounding up/down/ignoring remainders?

Perhaps

=ROUND(A1/60,0)

what I'm trying to achieve here is
a running sequence number from 0 - 86400 (seconds) , I need to get minutes for this, if seconds are not full minutes then need to round up 0-29 and round down 30-59

0-29 round UP to 1?
30-59 round DOWN to what? 0? 1?

This doesn't quite make sense.

what I mean by round up means if its 30 minutes 37 seconds then this should be 31 minute and like wise if 30 minutes and 29 seconds it should 30 minute
