Hello,

Does anyone know if you can search (by keyword) a number of documents in a folder without opening each and every document?

I want to search a series of meeting minutes for a specific topic without having to open each and every single document.

Thanks.

Can you AutoAverage in Excel?
There is a drop-down next to the AutoSum symbol. Open the drop-down to choose AVERAGE, COUNT, MAX, or MIN
Can't you use Windows Find?

It has an option to look for files Containing text specified by you.

Thanks, but I'm not sure how to 'specify' to only search for keywords IN a document AND how to specify to only search a specific folder.

Just type what you want in the section that says Containing Text.

And use the Browse button to goto the folder you want.

I'm on Windows 98 so am unsure how exactly things may have changed.

Thanks

Thanks for your suggestions...I've managed to figure it out (with your help) using the Windows search, but I also think that the macro will be helpful and have downloaded it to my PC.

Thanks again!

:)
