Hi,

I have a comment section (N) that everyone put their initials or name in instead of the cell (O) . Is there any way that excel can recognize their identifier ( initials, name etc.) within the cell (N) and then put the initials or name in cell in column (S).
I have tried text to columns but since the initials are not uniformly placed in the same spot sorting it has become a nightmare. I have over 50,000 rows like this.
Every comment the each person worked, they used the same identifier.
NOPQRS
Commentn/an/an/an/aName

I think I am looking for a Macro or some sort of searching v-look up but I have no idea how to do that.

Excel Facts

Lock one reference in a formula
Need 1 part of a formula to always point to the same range? use $ signs: $V$2:$Z$99 will always point to V2:Z99, even after copying
