Hi, I have created a database, and i want to create a search query which will search for any term in the database.
I have used the following criteria:
Like [Form]![Search form]![Search term]
But this only finds a record if the record and search term matches exactly,
eg if the record says 'Printer not working' and i search for printer, it won't find the record. It works if the record says 'printer' and i search for 'printer'.
Is there a way a could make this work?
Thanks for your help,
Jodi

Excel Facts

Create a Pivot Table on a Map
If your data has zip codes, postal codes, or city names, select the data and use Insert, 3D Map. (Found to right of chart icons).
Hi
Change your criteria to this :
Like [Form]![Search form]![Search term] & "*"

Andrew

Will that not only return records beginning with the search criteria?

This should return records containing the search criteria.

Like "*" & [Form]![Search form]![Search term] & "*"
