I'm looking for the opposite of the Excel function "concatenate" or "&", so I can remove a character from a text string. So in Google I typed "excel opposite concatenate". The first result returned was:

Mr Excel Message Board for Excel Help Forums - View Forum

made in it), Next Page | Select a Forum Excel Forums ----- Excel ...

The link put me on the MrExcel home page. I then used the MrExcel search function to try to find a post containing "The opposite of concatenate?" but I can't find it. Maybe I'm not seaching correctly?

Thanks!

That's it; thanks very much.

Is there a way to search for the exact phrase--how did you find it?
