Search function question vlookup / ifnumber

Hi everyone!

I need a little help: I have to cross match Database A user names(firstname lastname) with Database B where there are some extra characters and the order is last name firstname), so the normal vlookup does not find exact match. I tried the following: I used text to column from the Database A, to have two separate column, then I tried to find the name from Database B
=IF(IF(ISNUMBER(SEARCH(A1,C1)),ISNUMBER(SEARCH(B1,C1))),"yes","no")
This show correct result when the name is in the same line
A1 Tom
B1 John
C1 John dr tom -
The results are good, but in case:
C2 John dr tom - the result are false(No)

I need to same at Database A which is a appearing at Database 2. So I need to find the duplicated items.
Can you help me out how to correctly find what I am looking for?

Do you mean that your VLookup() function should return multiple results ...???

Are ' User ' and ' Name ' always interchanged ..( is Bram User or Name ...)

It seems to me ... given your sample ... that you need to use some Fuzzy logic ... and probably the Excel Add-In :

The order of the words are always opposite....uhh this fuzzy logic sounds though for me...I would like to create a macro for this, and automatize the results, I "just" need to know the duplicated names.

Baku is in Column B ...whereas Bram is located in Column A ... and Column F displays are interchanged ... no ...???

I am working in the license management:
Column A and B is fix, which is from one database. What is changing and we never know what is the order and the format of the names is column F. To understand better, some users has desktop PC assigned to them, and they are having an application installed eg.Foxit reader. The Column F shows me the citrix users who has installed Foxit reader, and I have to find the duplicated names, because a person which appears on both list has to consume one license for the application. So this is a user based license.
