No, not just you. Has never worked. I even tried using the original search file to see if something was changed, but no, that didn't work either... just another thing to look at !
My experience is that limiting it by using the "Search for all terms" button also has no effect. Fortunately the "and" keyword works fine.
(I guess I'm spoiled by the deluxe search engines, but I couldn't help but to think that if the "Search for any terms..." option sorted the results by number of hits per result, then I wouldn't need the "and" keyword. The results with every word would be listed first. If I find time, maybe I'll volunteer to look into this.)
