hi guys i am hoping someone can help me with the following: also im not super familiar with vba but if there is a solution in vba it would be great if someone could let me know which functions to explore/read up on thanks!

i have a bunch of numbers (5-7 different cells) from an excel spreadsheet. then i have a pdf/word doc. i want to be able to have a way to take each of those cells and search for the numbers in those cells in the pdf and/or word doc. so then for each cell it could tell me if there is a match and if so it could return the paragraph/section from that pdf/doc that has that number in. do you guys think there could be a solution for this. the reason to do this is because we have these excel files for each transaction and then there's a doc that gets published once the transaction closes and we need to manually check those numbers each time. thanks so much in advance!

Yes! You can definitely automate this process using VBA
