Hi Guys,

I have used the search function like this:
=SEARCH(" ",Table1[Remarks],1,0) but it always end up with 0 even if there's a space in the field [Remarks]
How can I work around this?
Can someone help me please.
Thanks

Excel Facts

Format cells as date
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+3 to format cells as date. (Shift 3 is the # sign which sort of looks like a small calendar).
Are you sure the text contains a regular space and not say a non-breaking space (character code 160)?

Hi,
Thanks for replying.
If this is the case can you tell me how to search this non-breaking space (character code 160), I would like to try it to see if it works>

Thanks

I don't know how you would do it in DAX - I can't find a CHAR or equivalent function. Perhaps you could copy one of the 'spaces' and paste it into a cell in Excel and then test it using =CODE(A1) to see what it returns.
